Gas Pocket Rockets

The Impressive 45 MPH Speeds of Gas Pocket Bikes

It’s a common circus scene you recall back when you were still young: a tall clown pedals a miniature bike into the middle of the circus ring, with his knees reaching up to shoulder level and his back bending forward in an effort to get hold of the handlebars. Taking the mini bike into account, if you install a motor and gas tank into that small bike, what you’ll get is a gas pocket rocket bike.

Gas Pocket Bikes Mean Serious Business

Gas pocket rockets typically weigh from 45 pounds to 90 pounds, and are normally 10:1 scaled motorcycles. These rocket motos usually seat their drivers only two feet above ground, and although this description may present a funny picture, there is nothing hilarious about a gas powered pocket rocket. In fact these gas mini bikes actually mean serious business, since these can be used for serious competitions and races. Even with their smaller stature and sizes, these mini pocket rockets should not be viewed as children’s toys. While you may be inclined to view these pocket rocket bikes as toys, these pocket rockets can be risky, if not managed in the right way.

Since these gas pocket bikes may appear smaller than your standard bike, you could easily get swayed by the assumption that it is practically okay to use these pocket bikes anywhere, from the sidewalks to streets. Nonetheless, riding these gas or electric pocket bikes in such public places is certainly not recommended.

These super pocket rockets, especially those powered to run on gasoline have been subject to some modifications, allowing them to reach speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. In fact some models have been altered to run at faster speeds. Furthermore, these pocket rockets do not come with the safety features common in any standard motorcycles. They are not outfitted with the right mirrors, reflectors, brake lights, and even turn signals.

Are These Pocket Rockets Legal?

With the arguments on safety faced by gas powered pocket rockets, various groups have debated on the legality of such vehicles, or if banning such pocket rockets should be done at the soonest possible time. In fact both opposing sides contain such reasonable arguments that much thought has been involved in the assessment of each. The people who do not believe that gas pocket rockets should be banned argue that the main reason why some children get injured while riding their bikes is due to the lack of parental or adult supervision.

However, for those who are already quite experienced in riding gas mini bikes and known to prefer high-speed vehicles, the gas pocket rocket can run only up to 25 miles for a full tank, with the gas tank capacities reaching only up to one liter. The motorcycle speed is seen at 45 to 50 miles per hour, with an average horsepower of 5 for the engine. There are dealers which allow for customization for your cheap pocket rockets, so make sure you find the right dealers for your racing needs.

If you are an amateur rider who intends to improve your skills, a gas pocket rocket will no doubt provide you with excellent safety.
